CCHA Log Jam Continues
LSSU beat Alaska to move into a tie for 3rd place with Michigan and Michigan State. Ferris State dominated Notre Dame in South Bend, to move a step closer to the CCHA title.

2. Western Michigan 42 points (5 games left)
3. Michigan 38 points (5 games left)
4. Michigan State 38 points (5 games left)
5. LSSU 38 points (5 games left)
6. Notre Dame 36 points (5 games left)
7. Miami 36 points (4 games left)
8. Ohio State 36 points (3 games left)
9. Northern 33 points (5 games left)
10. Alaska 27 points (3 games left)
11. BGSU 19 points (5 games left)
So right now MSU would get a first round bye and host LSSU in the CCHA Quarterfinals Best of 3 series. Not a bad position to be in, but a loss with a handful of wins by teams behind them would put MSU all the way back in 8th and in danger of falling as low as 9th which would mean playing a road series in the first round. Every point matters.
Michigan State is 12th in the PairWise. Michigan fell to 6th with the loss.
