Coach Tom Anastos announced that junior forward Greg Wolfe was named Captain for the 2012 - 2013 season. Seniors Anthony Hayes, Chris Forfar, and Matt Grassi were named alternate captains.
With so many incoming freshman, Coach Anastos decided to wait until the first week of the regular season to officially name a captain, so all the players could have their input. Leadership on this team will be key this season, as the Spartans are breaking in so many new players.
Michigan State gets their season underway on Friday at #2 Minnesota.
