USHL Standout Picks Michigan State

Ricardo Cooney of Spartanmag.com is reporting that Michigan State has picked up standout Youngstown Phantoms winger JT Stenglein for the 2013 - 2014 season.

JT, a 1993 birthday, is currently listed at 6-0, 195 lbs (USHL website has him at 200 lbs). He finished 5th in the USHL last season with 31 goals - a Youngstown record. In 11 games this season he has 6 goals and 11 points to share the goal lead on his team. He's also registered 56 penalty minutes so far this year (Yes, 56). In 56 games a year ago he had 31 goals and 51 points with 132 penalty minutes.

He is the leading returning scorer in the USHL this season. He originally was verbally committed to UMass-Lowell.

Going on a hunch, I figured a guy with those numbers had to be on YouTube....

I wasn't disappointed....
